Ive just about recovered from a rotator cuff injury in my left shoulder. Symtoms were extreme pain during any pressing excersises and such as dips. Its taken two years to fully recover and I still feel it now. I recovered by dropping my weights(which hurt) and doing some very light raises daily(ie a can of beans). Ice and Ibuprofen cycles also helped (after heavy training). Any one else had this crap injury??

i suffered really badly from rotator cuff prob's back in the day mate. tried all the stuff you have, plus few more besides! the ONLY way to deal with it is to see a top sports injury specialist. it WILL keep comin back otherwise dood. you wont get this thru your GP so it will cost ya but believe me bud, you'll never regret it. especially when you can get back to doin HARD an HEAVY trainin like you know ya should!! must be sports injury tho,NOT chiropractor or sports massage or any of that mess.. wot area are you in? maybe i can find ya someone..
The pain is still there there, it does seem now that I just put up with it, although its nowhere near as bad. I would be grinnin like a cheshire cat if i could bench again with no pain!!!! Im in huddersfield west yorks so if you know anyone, I know a mint back specialist but dont think he will do the shoulder.

It's weird... last year was my first year of competeing.... i suffered no injuries at all!!
This year though... i've suffered really bad with my shoulders and my elbow... am currently taking 6 weeks off training, to try and fix the problems before they get soo bad that i can't train at all. I'm hoping and praying that this will help.. couldn't do lat raises at all, presses hurt, and most pulling exercises killed too... nightmare!!
I hate not training... have begged my personal trainer to let me back... but no, he's v v stubborn!!
Ouch, I didnt struggle with lat raises, I managed to work thru them, pulling was no problem but benching was the worst, and as its normally one of my fave excersises it shot me mentally as well!! Back on track now tho.
Your well stacked on the will power wiv 6 weeks off, Id be sneaking to a diff gym and working other body parts, ha ha

Shoulder injuries, jesus where do i begin! Ive been plagued with a left shoulder injury for 5-6 years! Ive had every injury possible and every treatment going. Im waiting for my hospital appointment at the moment, i will let you know how it goes. Its possible rotator damage. I put it down to wear n tear from over 15yrs of being in the iron pit! Ive gone from doing 70kg per side on an olympic bar to not doing it at all! mess happens and life goes on. Theres always a soloution to the problem and for me that is, regular visits to a qualified spots therapist (even if nothing is wrong) something might be hiding? Also after each upper body workout, especially chest and shoulders i will ice the shoulder area as soon as i get home.Wether it hurts or not its ritual! I will oil the area and massage it in to prevent the ice burning my skin and get a polystyrene cup with water that has been frozen over night and circulate the cup over the area. As it melts i tear around the edge to keep solid ice on it, better than a bag of peas as it is more direct. This works wonders and i will continue to do so. Hope this will help some of you

who mentioned sholder injuries kr1s ,gon and joined your club now ,right shoulder hurts abit when benching ,and get pins and needles during night when i sleep on my side ,on athritec to reduce swelling at mo, hopfully not a bad one ,...
To get big you have to eat big ,sleep big and train big !!
if i hold my neck with my left hand and move my elbow out to the side it feels like my shoulder is poping in and out of the socket dosnt hurt tho. is this normal?
its gases being released from inside the rotary joint, the air pockets you get between the synovial cushion and the bone, as long as it doesn't hurt then its not a problem, but dont keep doing it. can cause repetitive strain injury in the joint
