Well I have been training for over twenty years, and you think I would learn wouldn't you, but no, I have to be the bloody hero. Did lying tri extensions, which I KNOW messed my elbows up in the past, but I LOVE to use heavy weight and these , at one time, did just that. Last Sunday I decided I'd give em a bash, I went quite heavy, first couple of sets just mild joint pain, last set absolute agony but I still finished the set to failure. Now that my friends is just plain idiocy. Yep, I've earned the right to be called an idiot. Now I cannot press for probably a week or more. Had to do chest doing cable cross overs and pec dec today. Luckily I never press for shoulders anyway, just laterals, and they were ok. Moral of the story, DON'T BE A KNOB in the gym. LISTEN to your body, and DON'T do anything if it generates anything other than lactic acid pain. I could kick myself.  Reaper. |
