Hello, Just wanted to know if anyone has had the same experience with shoulder injuries as I have: was told after an ultra sound that I had bursitis in my left shoulder. Underwent a series of three cortisone injections. Now the pain seems to have shifted from one part of my shoulder to another, and is worse than before? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks very much.
It's aggravating as all hell......I can't even sleep for the most part, bloody thing keeps waking me up and in the mornings it feels as though I have dislocated the thing. I had an echo and a CAT scan done......now they want to do a resonance, as the echo showed some kind of bursitis (an enlargement of the something-or-other - where the tendons all join?), and the CAT scan showed no problems with the cartilage or bones. I had a series of 3 cortisone shots into the shoulder over the course of three weeks and, honestly, now the whole situation is worse than it was to begin with. Bizarre though, before there were certain exercises I could not do, now those that I could not do I can and those that I could do I can no longer do???!!! This really sucks. Thanks for your input.
Remember, if do you a certain exercise and it hurts... dont do it!
Im limited to what i can do and have changed from regular lifting to iso-tension training and it really is working for me.
For example, i take a huge deep breath when lowering the weight, (for example flat machine chest press) hold my breath for 3-5 seconds then exhale and squeeze the muscle at the top for 2-3 seconds.
Their is no way you can train heavy like this, after the first set my chest is mega pumped, it feels great and its doing the job.
For shoulders i only do dumbell side laterals and i avoid ALL shoulder pressing movements and chest exercises are done at a 45 degree angle at the most for one exercise.
Apart from chest, shoulders and chins for back i can train everything else fine.
Train around it and be smart but dont force it!
