Training partner is always useful so long as they have either similar goals or are geared to help you get ready for your show. Its a selfish sport, I train the way I want to train, and if I have a partner they do what I want to do, or go train with someone else !

As far as the bf is concerned, sorry, thats for you to deal with. But when you get down to the wire you need support, end of !

Good luck and I hope you manage to achieve your goals.
