Was my first day at gym this week and i felt really intimidated im lyk a 6ft beanpole to everyone there and i cudnt hardly lift nothing, but my main question is my biceps n triceps n shoulders a really aching this was friday wen i went its now sunday, i stuggle 2 put my socks on its that bad so do i bite the bullet and go tomorrow or wait til they feel better?
You shouldn't be lifting any heavy weights if its your first visit to the gym all you should be doing is learning to perform the execises correctly besides it's not about how heavy you can lift thats just ego tripping. As for your aches to be honest if you are training correctly you should always ache for a couple of days after training although it does get easier yes you should go tomorrow but don't do anything heavy, everyone goes through this stage its the ones who stick with it who grow and become bodybuilding champions. Hope this has helped.
Yeh thanks for the advice i think my body just wasnt use to the exercise because i wasnt what you would call doing bit weights shoulder press 30k lol ect but yeh guy and the gym has done me a rountine for 6 weeks did it tonight and im ok. i have started a protein diet today as well, wil this be fine seem as my routine is quite lame?
you always need protein just to maintain muscle, try getting it from solid food as well as liquids, 3 protein drinks aday plus chicken, fish etc should help you and don't forget it can take a couple of months to see real improvement in muscle size, tho after a few weeks you should start to see a difference in muscle shape and hardness.

Bigkeiko is correct,
the weight is just a meanst o an end, it should be enough to tax you, but allow you to perform the desired number of reps before you fail. If you are doing too many reps increase the weight by small increments until the weight stops you at the desired number of reps. If its too light you will be doing too many reps, don't just stop because you hit a specific number!
