Tankuk, You was nearly right... remember, the first thing your body needs after training is carbs NOT protein! Lactose is like the plague, always have a protein with water. If you want a slow release protein then opt for a blend, if you want it in fast then opt for a whey isolate. Non-fat milk contains 20g of sugar (lactose) so it can still make you fat becouse of the insulin release. The body will breakdown aminos and convert them into sugars, ie carbs to replenish glycogen stores. Always, always have carbs first then whey isolate 20 mins or so later. A solid meal of both top quality protein and complex carbs should be consumed 60-90mins later followed by a slow release protein and essential fats 2hrs later before retiring for bed |
