it really depends on genetics, if you go the natural path I'd aim for around 2 years with good training and proper diet.  it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to build a good shape, yes you can make huge gains but thats with steroids etc and quite a lot of the gains are water and fat hence why a lot of competitive bodybuilders have to diet and lose between 2-3stone to compete. Try the natural way for a year and see how you shape up and remember its not about ego trips lifting a weight too heavy to do the correct movement, you need to use a weight that enables you to perform the exercise correctly with proper form. |
