after working quite hard for the last 6 weeks i have managed to eliminate quite alot of my excess fat from around my stomach. I have lost around 3/4 of a stone and my stomach is quite flat except below my belly button were i can grab half a handful. I just can't seem to get rid of this and my chubby thighs

i was thinking if i got a sit up bench that this would maybe help me to bring my stomach in and make it a big flatter at the bottom ??

any help appreciated

cut downon your sugur this is what causes your tummy to store fat i think.

also sit up bench will work your upper abs more than your lower abs. to work the lower ones do hanging leg raises.

another tip is green tea, it speeds up your matabolic rate there for burning extra cals.

That fat around the belly is always the last to come off, so dont worry man.  It takes time.  Keep your carbs low at night, try to keep your simple carbs (sugars and starches) very limited.  It also helps me to keep cardio limited to after your workout.  This way you focus your engery on your lifting but still burn the extra calories you would when just doing cardio.
