Well my back is feeling a bit better, went to the gym and did half an hour on the bike cant really do much more than that for cardio as i think it will be too painful.
Hopefully will get to do some weights later, will just have to go lighter and do more reps. The rest will have done me good im sure. Diet back on track today too, just need to keep things together and not let things slip anymore than they have.
Being really good with my food, making sure its clean high protein and pretty highish fats. (as its no carbs until tomorrow which will be a carb up day) sensible one dont want to be undoing the hard work and effort that i have put in all week.
Should have put some broccoli with my tuna for this afternoon but forgot, so though would check out our canteen here at work , no broccoli but by gum they had roast beef and all the trimmings..... Didnt have any though was good.
Training is getting better, still a few twinges so havent done much in the way of back or leg exercises. Going to try some light reps tonite and see how it goes. Eager to get back to normal training. But overall so far this week has been good.
Dropped about 5lb so far this week but sure most of that was water due to a crap weekend last week.
Been a good week this week, meals all good. Training is good as back is loads better. Still struggling a little to pick up the heavier weights.
Gym today was good , did chest and biceps. Carb day today . Having gone nuts as dont want to ruin all the hard work have put in this week. Weight has stayed the same this week which is a little frustrating but going to perservere with it.
You & john are both having bad luck with injuries, im having a recurring injury myself now in my forearm only when doing preacher curls. You seem consistent with your meals i get soo bored after a month or two then start slacking off again. HOW DO YOU DO IT?????

Injuries are a nitemare, i just find it frustrating as hell that i cant do what i want in the had a go at legs yesterday which ended up being a complete waste of time.
As for the meals, i do have my moments where i struggle but i just keep telling myself the only way im going to get where i want to be, is consistency. I do have bad days but once ive got my head focused its all good. Doing the carb timing is a bit frustrating too as my weight just isnt shifting, so trying a higher carb day today because i think i tend to be too careful on carb days so it doesnt give the desired effect. Im going to keep trying until i find what works.
Have had a wicked week this week, things have been good, my back is almost sorted apart from the odd twinge when try and do squats. Started doing deadlifts again this week
It also looks like things are about to change !!!! through a friend i ended up talking to a woman who has competed last nite until the wee hours of the morning.(like ya do) She is going to help me best she can to get on stage, she sent me a pic of her when she competed , the pic is awesome. !!!!!Just a shame dont live closer or she would have trained me too..... bummer!!!
So for anyone who is interested watch this space cause i cant wait.
Well its been an ok week. Diet needs some sorting though which i have been trying to do this weekend. Bit of a bummer cause i had really got into the whole carb timing and got settled into a routine.
Training was wicked this week though, trained really hard. Training session on friday was a killer, i love the way some of the guys look i think its more because of the weight im doing than anything else makes me smilethough. Looking forward to this week, have the feeling training is going to be even harder as i have pushes with the trainer at the gym everyday except monday. Have got to get my diet spot on though.
Back is now all sorted. No pain at all just slight niggle in my right butt cheek which is the siatica hanging round which is a bit annoying. Managed to do a legs session last week, was just a bit conscious of what i was doing more than normal. But might take a bit and hopefully get back to squatting the weight i was before the back went. Going to look into buying a belt though. Rather be safe than sorry.
Its just great doing hard heavy workouts. Just dont want anymore injuries.
Arms ache like hell today, well they do know. Lunchtime weights session.
x3 sets of each, reps first set x10 reps 2nd set 8reps 3rd set 6 reps.
upright rows, (warm up set no weight x25 reps) seated lat raises single arm lifts (low then high) shoulder press shoulder shrugs shoulder push and lifts.
Was really good, felt as if i had more strength too, which i take is from the increase in carbs. Still feeling a little bloated at times but cant quite put my finger on what it is at the moment. As im sure it is food specific. But its all good.

Still feeling a little bloated at times
I was the same 2 days ago. I even looked bloated; stomach (not abdomen) looked extended and weight seemed to have gained. However I have started taking Green Tea capsules and for some reason these must be diuretic. During the night I pee-ed 5 - 6 times. Today I've lost that extra weight as it must have been water, and the bloated look has gone! Are you taking any supps?

Hi Jon,
For me the bloating is more looks than how i feel i think. As before i was losing bodyfat so tummy was quite a bit flatter. lol... Supps i do take green tea capsules, fish oil, b1 and b6. I just have to ignore it my weight hasnt gone up its kinda fluctuates.
But the past week has been good, lots of heavy weight training sessions, cardio is now limited which i thought i would find odd but i dont Legs as sore as hell today, thursday did a heavy legs day which was great and the heaviest i have done since my back went. Deadlifts are responsible for my soreness im sure. Diet is getting there just finding it difficult going to aim for a ratio of the following and see how i go as i want to minimalise fat gain.
30-35 % protein 50-55% carbs 10-20% fats. dont shoot me if this sounds wrong....lol made a few mistakes this week nutrition wise (no crap though) just trying to get things right especially as the guy in the gym is wrking hard with me with my training .
