Hello all, from a newbie, although I've been reading this site for a long time and find it FAR more informative than others. Indeed on one site which is high on Google I proposed a question and was answered with nothing but sarcasm. OK so my question. I've just started taking whey isolate twice a day. The dosage is 50 grams mixed with 300 millilitres of water. The times are just after my afternoon gym session at 4pm and just before going to bed. However I find that I'm now getting up 5 times during the night to pee! My kidneys are OK as I once had kidney stones and am very aware now. Any suggestions please?
Whey is not specifically a diuretic. Protein on the other hand (of course whey is a form of protein) can cause water loss. Typically when bb's r dehydrating before a show they eat several protein only meals which causes diuresis.
