check the side of you protein powder gaz, mine says drink within 20min of making, although I've never waited longer to see what happens.... Theres a few guys in my gym have their whey in a shaker and as soon as they finish, they pour water in from the fountain in the gym & drink... |

I take 5grams creatine immediately PWO and 50 grams whey isolate within 30 minutes post WO. Incidently, I've just started taking Grenades and almost immediately noticed the difference in metabolic rate! (Is it possible?) Doing pre WO cardio I started to sweat at 1 kilometre on the treadmill whereas without grenades at the same speed I'd normally have to do at least 2 kilometres. Also noticed the "second wind" when taking creatine. The problem I've got is the "love handles" which are actually diminishing but more so the bit between the belly button and the genital area. Theres a lot of fat there! |

rome wasn't built in a day madeira jon. keep with it and the fat will go. i personaly have always been told if taking protien shake have it strate after w/o. as in b4 you leave the weight room!! and get you post w/o meal in you within 45 mins. this is where women struggle coz they spend 30 in the shower, 20 blowdrying there hair and 10 putting on there makeup! |

Im gonna have to take 2 days rest. Ive had a bad 3 days at the gym including today. Don't have the energy at the moment. I suspect that its due to lack of carbs, so will be reverting back to normal humans diet for next 2 days. Also its the end of my 4 weeks on creatine and I wonder if its effect falls off in time, hence the suggestion that you only stay on it for 4 weeks at a time. Before I could easily do 60 minutes on the treadmill when it cuts out; now I can barely manage 20 minutes and I just feel I cannot go on. |

Gaz, A good workout should leave your muscles completely shagged, which means they have used up most of the available sugars. It's therefore really important to replace the sugars ASAP, before the protein. Do you take amino acids during your workout? I like to take a few aminos during and before last set of a session. Apparently, they'll find their way to your muscles like a homing missile, especially if you do some real good high rep/blood pumping exercise!! dan ps. i drink a protein shake at 3pm that i mix-up at 8am, obviously i don't stick it in the sun all day, but you get my meaning!!! |

Daniel, I was shagged after only 5 minutes of cardio! During my WO I take orange fruit juices. What else would you suggest? |

Jon, you gotta take some rest my friend!!! Working out everyday is counter-productive, your muscles have got to recover at some point! Even the pros have plenty of rest days. I can imagine that high cardio on low carb diet is bloody difficult! Never had to do it myself, I'm the opposite, a skinny bas' that is permenantly on a mass building cycle!! I get a great boost out of Nitro-oxide (or whatever it's called) pre workout. If your ethics allow it, clenbuterol is the dog's B*llocks!!!! |

Daniel I thought I'd read "Nitorglycerine" instead of "Nitro-oxide" And Yes, I'm resting; just started bodybuilding in Nov so learning from all you guys experience. |

Incase you didnt know, but fast walking burns more fat than running does, I now do 15min fast pace walking with 10min running then i do anoher 10/15 fast walking. It also much better on your knees+joints. But like daniel said clenbuterol is great for cardio it gives me so much extra energy+endurance during cardio. |
