This meat is very low in fat and cholestrol. However Dean, both meats are currently out of season and I'm not at all sure that shooting deer is even legal! |

Hey a good bit of deer is great and pheasant it is rich meat though so dont eat loads of it i used to make pheasant stir fry lol very nice or sweet an sour. the venison is great to make a hearty stew also with all ya spuds an vegies in it. If ya gunna hunt ya self ya need a high power rifle for the deer the pheasant a shot gun just have to get all the shot out before cooking or ya will break some teeth lol i used to hunt with birds and rabbit is also a good meat to try if its free and full of protein get it down ya neck its all good,as said though make sure they are in season for hunting and just talkin about venison is makin my mouth water. not a seasons are not a problem for me. no i'm not a pikie! i clean the windows of one of englands biggest land owners and he lets my dad + mates hunt any time. hes got 4 hurds of deer in his 'garden' there must be over 100 per hurd you got to see it to belive it! i've always thought it was fatty meat know i know the truth i'll get me old combats out the loft |

I agree about the rabbit! Its fat free and makes a GREAT stew! Also if you have the George Forman griller, it cooks great on that. Dean, where I live in UK, Barnard Castle there is a HUGE estate owned by Lord Barnard also with 4 or 5 herds of deer. The local butchers always have venison for sale. I tried wood pidgeon breats a couple of weeks ago, not cheap as they cost £8 for 6, but they are also fat and cholestrol free, but they taste like liver when grilled. |

Rabbit is no good! As for dear - its a great high protein len meat. Pheasant is also good and flavourfull. My dad used to hunt game - I remember tatsing it as a kid, quite dry though as its so lean!
Cant complain if its free though

NUTRITION Rabbit meat is relatively low in fat and high in protein. It is a good source of niacin, iron, phosphorus, and vitamin B12.

Do you know that during the War, by law butchers had to leave the paws and tail on the rabbit meat they sold. This was to stop them selling cat-meat instead of bunny! |

ok i would not eat a pet rabbit not all at once lol, the wild rabbit is abit different as it will ruin crops and the farmer wont want them on his land and so if people never hunted them and used them for food the farmer would just shoot them and would not bother if he winged it an it died down the burrow its far better to go on Dean4englands plate or mine, Start a rabbit revival low fat meal replacement rabbit on a stick and get free fur slippers when ya buy 100 Silone74 |
