Ok, not a happy chappy..
Was playing football last night in a match.. i play in defence and the striker put the ball in front of him..
So..were both full sprinting to the ball.. but the git put his knee out and full pelt right into the middle of my thigh .. talk about down for the count..
I know cannot walk! pretty peeded off to say the least.. cant even put my own socks on crist sake..
Any advice on how to help the injury.. i will love you long time..

Tank, you've got a "dead leg" what you need to do is massage that muscle regularly. Sorry about the injury. |

i can now confirm i have tore a muscle in my thigh Doctors said i will be out for 12 weeks.. i think not! off to the gym watson! just wont train my legs ofc..that would be OMG Pain |

Tank - docs aint so good at diagnosing these things. From what you have said I would b suprised if it is a tear - but it is possible. You will have sustained some muscle damage - but this is different to a tear. Ice pack for 20 mins followed by heat heat for 20 mins several times a day - then as jon syas seek massage! PJ |

id go for a heat pack rather than the spray - reason being you can remove the heat as and when - with the spray it lasts! |

Tank, when I damaged my hamstring I got "NEXCARE COLDHOT PACK" from Boots Chemist. You can either freeze it as I did or microwave it to get the gel inside warm or hot. It serves both. |

Still wavering around 15 stones., 95 Kilos. I think most is now solid flesh as the cardio would have got rid of a lot of fat but there is still those damn LURV HANDLES but not as bad as they used to be.  Looking forward to starting my first anavar cycle and seeing what difference it makes. Although I know it is the weakstt of AS's still it must be an improvement as I've reached a plateau as far as the "preacher" is concerned. Can't get past 30 kilos! Especially as I've spent the last week in the Lakes which is only 30 minutes drive from my UK home. I've ruined my eating regime tonight by getting a boittle of Charddonay but its to celebrate a) coming back to this forum and b) stopping silly eating and drinking and starting cycle! Tank look after that injury, remember what happened when I tried to start exercises on my hamstring too early! |

 been told i give a good massage !!!!!!!  Hope its getting better, injuries are a pain and like jon said dont try and rush things as it just prolongs things and leads to frustration. |

You have nothing more than a dead leg tank,can not see an impact injury like a knee tearing a muscle. You will have deep brusing of muscles tissue.
The shortest game of ruby i ever played was because of the same injury, we kicked off, their full back collected (who was an international team captain), runs down the pitch gets to full speed, i go in for the tackle, wham knee right in the middle of my leg. I could not walk, the leg would not move, wobbled around and kept falling over. In the end some guys rushed on and dragged me off thinking i was concussed because i was all over the palce. That was it a full 15 seconds of play end of match for me.
And get this this game was what we called the wedding game the grrom arranged the match on the very morning of his wedding !!! full of ex and current international players. Only one other injury a few stiches. |
