UMAR, first run a virus check, go to http://www.grisoft.com and download the FREE version od AVG8. The go to http://www.ccleaner.com/ and download the free version of Ccleaner.  Run AVG and then run Ccleaner. This will clean up your PC.
To get to the start menu go to the bottom left corner of your PC and above START type in "msconfig" without the commas.  Then click on the STARTUP tab on the new menu which will appear.  Disable those programs which you don't need on starting up you PC which will be nearly all of them. Let us know how you get on. Do you run XP or VISTA?

i am using WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION, Currently i have Spybot search and destroy and it comes up with no viruses on the computer. Was told to clear up start menu as this may be the problem slowing it down but how do i clear the start menu

Hi Umar,
Your PC is infected with spyware as you will see below.
First you to Superantispyware and download the Free Edition and the run it.
http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
I know you have Norton on your PC but it doesn’t catch all the viruses. After you’ve run SAS, then run HIJACKTHIS again and if the following are still there delete them. The instructions are at the bottom of HIJACKTHIS page.
Unless you REALLY need the programs, don’t run them. I see you’ve got Alsp touchpad, do you need it?

C:\Program Files\Apoint\Apoint.exe
If you don’t have Alsp TouchPAd then you don’t need Apoint.exe

The ico.exe process provides a system tray icon that you can use to view and change various settings for your mouse. It can be removed if you do not use the system tray icon to change your mouse's settings. It has been reported to cause problems with some DirectX based games.

Unless you are running Sonys ISB Utility you don’t need this.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ICO.EXE
C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Power Management\SPMgr.exe
C:\Program Files\Sony\ISB Utility\ISBMgr.exe
C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Update 2\VAIOUpdt.exe

And this as well
C:\Program Files\sony\Prepare your VAIO\PYVAlert.exe

This IS SPYWARE!!!!!!
C:\windows\system32\jownw64p.exe
Read this and follow instructions:-
http://fileinfo.prevx.com/spyware/QQ6c78107717736-JOWN44624981/JOWNW64P.EXE.html

Delete this its spyware:=
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{58-8E-EF-F0-DW}] C:\windows\system32\jownw64p.exe DWram03
Delete all these this its also spyware:-
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{58-8E-EF-F0-DW}] C:\windows\system32\jownw64p.exe DWram03
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{a83150e0-d79d-0b29-5f3e-1d17e6462907}] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\mnhrvpedsebplhvy.dll" DllStart
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [runner1] C:\WINDOWS\mrofinu1000106.exe 61A847B5BBF72813329B385772FF01F0B3E35B6638993F4661AA4EBD86D67C56389B284534F310F3D1DC7E4638E8323A15806F97BDE4417E6FD967002BA754E2C2832213329D26033AAC
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BM5796bdc3] Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\twuxgeol.dll",s
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [54a58e5f] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ufxupafu.dll",b

Delete this spyware
O4 - Startup: DW_Start.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\system32\jownw64p.exe

Run HIJACKTHIS again as post it back here.

Hi , Thanks for the reply and help Jon.

I ran CCLEANER and it delted all the viruses but i think it deleted something else which would not allow my internet to work and made the computer slower so i just re-installed windows again and now its fine

Thanks

Great Umar, run Ccleaner once a week.  Also get AVG8 the free edition and run that as well.
