Need an overall calorie deficit for sure.
Need to avoid simple carbs completely really (sugars, choccy, sweets, too much fruit too believe it or not) as these cause an insulin response. Insulin is not your buddy when dieting - a big squirt into your stream and adipose tissue starts getting filled with fat converted from carbs (insulin is a sod, it can make bodyfat from just about anything).
In other ways insulin is your best buddy, it's a very anabolic hormone but avoid sweets when shedding.
remember plenty of cardio to burn the fat and keep the metabolism up and have a cheat meal or 2 a week to perk met up and stop you getting pi55ed off with the diet |
