i normally do 30-40mins HIIT on the cross trainer after a weights workout and 10 mins going nuts on the bag. i reakon bag work at the end of a workout is a brilliant fat stripper! on just cv days i do about an hour, half on the cross trainer and half HIIT on the running machine. if i feel a bit of a fatty fat fats then i do the stair climber for 15 mins because that kills me!

only reason i like the bags as there a full size boxing room with all the different bags were i train and never get bored of different bag workouts and it realy burns the fat. all this jogging on treadmilsl rowing etc just gets me bored and i hop off after 5 mins lol

Yeah i know what your saying ther mate i only use the rower to warm up for 5mins now!

The quantity depends on your goal - when competing I will do up to 2 hours cardio daily. Mainly treadmill. Bagwork is good but is more intense so I would prob shoot for around 30-35 mins.


Educate the public so bodybuilding gets the respect it deserves - we are ATHLETES!

i do it after trainnig mate. as i find i need my enregy for the weights more than cardio. people who do it to lose weight normally do it first thing in the morning. if your just doing it for fitness then no need to

I got fed up trying to get on the bag this week so i have just ordered a 5ft authentic leather bag and bracket from ebay for my new house so i can do bag work each evening to loose my last bit of fat!
its great cause the new house has a brick support column right in the centre so im mounting it there and you never know i might be able to get the missis interested!

aka the heavy bag lol. you need plenty of room for it to swing around if you wanna get the maximum benifit from it. and its best on a long chain so you can dance around it to get a good workout. unless you got a high ceiling they arnt much use i dont think. why not get a couple of head gaurds and sparring gloves and tell your lass to jump in the front living room with you.
