Come on guys... I'm a new member on here, sand joined because i am sick of people saying yuk!!! female bodybuilders are disgusting, are horrid are not natural!!! i thought this would be the one place where people would understand, and wouldn't be saying the same stuff that us female bodybuilders have to put up with.... I'm sure you men don't get it... you know i think everyone in this sport is absolutely amazing, and i have soo much respect for all of us.... But i do agree with the figure side of female so called bodybuilding... whats that about?!!! it's not a beauty pageant.... get these girls either ripped so they can enter physique.... or kick em out and send them to a proper beauty pageant!!!

My season has just finished.... I competed at the UKBFF Midlands Classic, where i came 2nd, but still got an invite to the British Champs.... Where i finished 4th...
Am not sure what to do for next year now though... I competed in the Under 57kg, weighing in at 56.8kg... Think i either need more size, so should go up a weight.... or maybe to just gain more muscle, but come in leaner?!!! any suggestions? cheers :D

I really can't wait to compete again, i love the whole aspect of it and the buzz at the shows is electric!!!

Women bodybuilders have it SO hard, its harder for women to build muscle and harder for them to lose fat, but they do it. Total respect for those that do get it on!
Posted by: NAS1979, October 27, 2006, 9:18am; Reply: 42
How come your not training at the moment Caz?
I prefer just training at the moment, but thats probably because I look like a stick man! LOL
But yeah I can imagine what you mean about the buzz at the contest. It's always an ego boost to have someone compliment you on the physique you have worked so hard to achieve!
GOOD LUCK FOR IT!!!

Too right Caz! As a fellow outnumbered female I totally agree! You obviously work as hard as anyone!
Posted by: jo8216, December 31, 2007, 1:45pm; Reply: 44
Im pretty new on here too. Doesnt seem to be that many female bodybuilders either.
I guess its personal preference, but i would rather have a fit and muscular bod than a fat one.
(Scotty : u said "Where the other girls on this forum!!! got to be some out there." )
We are here, i have posted in the discussions forum maybe i just posted in the wrong place. Looking for some help, posted a couple of pics they arent great but the best i could do at the time.

i've not seen your pics where might they be??
Posted by: MEL, December 31, 2007, 5:22pm; Reply: 46
absolutly Jo! Ive just seen your post n pics Id say you've got a great starting point! Im starting as of tommorrow myself after a massive binge over xmas! I dream of competing too maybe in a year or so I know its possible so long as I can stay totally focused. Thats the other thing I love bout body building not just the physical side but the mental. It gives you a real self_discipline and will power and stops you focusing too much on any negative mess!
Good luck wiv your training and everything! Personally I find the diet the hardest as a live wiv someone who hates exercise and eating clean and says its totally pointless too expensive etc ( does'nt understand what hes missing out on!)
Ive decided to shame myself every time I eat mess im gonna post it on here that oughtta stop me I love your phrase
* “Nothing tastes as good as being lean feels.” * *

dean: my pics are on the discussion board under newbie (jo8216) like i say there not great but they are my starting point.
Hi Mel,
i join u in the diet side of things bieng the hardest i also join u in the not bieng so good at christmas and the posting when u eat rubbish is probably a good thing. If you dont mind i might join u with that one. The prob i have is my weekly eating (mon - friday ) is spot on eat clean, probably not enough at times and it can probably be better in places. But the weekends im home with the kids and i just dont seem to be able to do or get close to doing the same routine. Which is a bit of a let down because i know i would be so much further along than i am now if i could sort that out.
I really admire you for bieng with someone who doesnt support what you do, i might not have any support but i couldnt imagine what it would be like if i was in your position.
I am back to work wednesday which means back to the gym (its been closed for FOUR days disgusting) its at work so i know i will slip straight back into things. Im also going to work hard on the weekend thing. Maybe we can be a bit of support for each other if you want. :)

Very funny Dean! Were outnumbered here you know!
Thanx Jo I need all the support I can get! I have trouble at weekends as well but great mon-fri, I spose its cos of being out of the routine of work. Every mon feels like im undoing wot I did over the weekend. Thats another new years resolution try to be good over weekend! End of the day reaching our goal is gonna feel better than eating that takeaway or fish finger buttie!
Got back in the gym today and I feel great now! I t was a real struggle tho, amazing wot a difference a week off and existing on quality street makes!
Posted by: jo8216, January 2, 2008, 7:34pm; Reply: 50
Hi Mel,
The whole weekend thing is just weird but im going to make a real effort to try and sort out a routine that i stick to just for the weekend and see if that works. I also know what you mean about it undoing what you have spent all week doing. Trouble is at the weekend its too easy to grab something that you shouldnt. ::)
The gym for me today was the easiest thing ever i couldnt wait to get in there. Went in my lunch break and did some cardio, then went after work and did my weights cant wait for tomorrow, i love it just wish the food thing would slot in place as i would be sorted. :) If only life were that easy .
Mine was celebrations. ;D (the worse was a guy that i work with it was his birthday today, he brought lemon cake and chocolate cake.......and choccy bickies......he stuck a piece of chocolate cake under my nose and said do you want a piece..... i said no :(
Posted by: MEL, January 3, 2008, 5:07pm; Reply: 51
Weldone 4 refusing that! I admire your willpower! Think thats a realy good idea, keeping a separate routine for weekends, That could work , Ill give it a try too if you dont mind :)
Posted by: jo8216, January 3, 2008, 8:21pm; Reply: 52
No probs, we can see what works and what doesnt and hopefully come up with something that doesnt ruin everything we have achieved through the week.

come on girls post some pics in members photos and log your progress. you will be amazed how much it helps knowing people on here are looking out for you.
