I have been training now for 4/5 months (new to the scene) and have seen good results within my arms and upper legs but cannot seem to find a good exercise that i feel gives a good pump on my chest.

i have tried the basics, can anyone offer any exercises?

please describe the exercise as i dont know many by their name thanks.

also how do i lose a little excess weight around my waist? been trying for a while now, is it a case of cardio after weights and when on empty?

thanks again

Whats your diet?
Becouse you have only been training for 5 months tops you will find it hard to get a decent pump until you build enough mass on that area, i never got a good pump for around a year or so when i started!
Try doing your chest workout in reverse i.e, start with flat or incline dumbell flyes for 4 sets and reps being, 20, 15, 12, 8. Concentrate on form and make sure you get a good stretch (hold for 2 seconds at the bottom) this will open up the capillaries and force more blood into muscle cells (hence a better pump). Dont be too concerned with impressing your mates with what you can lift, just be sensible with your approach.

QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

I have no strict diet plan, but all meals consist of fruit/vegetables, pasta, meats, tuna and a few dairy products.

just i cannot feel the same pump/tightness within my chest as i do other parts.

Just becouse you dont get a decent pump doesnt mean to say it wont grow!
An old saying ARNOLD used to say,'if i put a blow torch on my muscle and fell the burn, does it mean it will grow, NO'!
As long as you train heavy/smart  and are eating right you will grow. Everyone is different, for instance.. i never EVER train my legs and they are my best body part. I feel nothing but they respond! Weird?  :-/
