Hello ,
I am new to the site and extremley impressed by all the info that is shared. I am about to start a 12 week program to lose some fat. For the past 3 months I have been doing alot of cardio but would like to now seriously introduce weights into my workouts and focus on nutrition because my efforts have not yielded the kind of result I expected.

My questions are;

What should I be eating before I go to the gym? I will be following the beginners routine discussed on this site (M, W, F) followed by 30 minutes of cardio. Then on T, Th, Sat I will be doing a spinning class, 45 minutes to a1 hour (on Sat) and I really enjoy this. Sunday absolutely nothing. I work out only in the morning at 6:30 a.m and I am out by 7:45 a.m

If I have to eat before I workout is this considered my first meal of five/six?

I know I should eat right after I workout, is it okay for this to be a protein drink?

Can I take a fat burner such as Grenade? Do I take this for the entire 12 week program?

I would also like to take a Whey Protein? What should I be looking for in  a protein powder?

I know I have asked alot of questions but I hope some of you have the time to provide the answers. I appreciate it.

Thank you.

You want a whey ISOLATE powder which has the best amino acid profile.  http://www.british-bodybuilding.co.uk/Whey%20Isolate.shtml

Hope this helps
