Bodybuilding Forum / Bodybuilding Supplements / Supplement list i was thinking of getting?
Posted by: Tankuk, July 6, 2007, 1:23pm
As the photo section shows. I have lost 70lb in 5 months and looking to loose few pounds and gain lean muscle.. the hard one!
I was thinking :
SAN NAG – to be taken first thing on a morning and pre workout. N-Acetyl-Glutamine is the most bio-available form of glutamine on the market today. This product will offer a very anti catabolic affect on muscle (prevent its breakdown), as it makes up a third of every muscle fiber. This will increase fat use for energy and preserve existing muscle mass. Glutamine taken first thing upon waking will line the stomach wall and improve digestion capabilities through the day on a lower calorie diet. Glutamine is also a GH pre-cursor. GH will increase you recovery capabilities and also is a fat liberating hormone increasing overall fat loss. Other alternatives include Nutrabolics Glutabolic and Reflex/USN/CNP/Garnell L-Glutamine.
Reflex Instant Mass – to be used as a direct meal replacement. Offers quality sustained release protein source for optimum anti catabolism on muscle tissue aswell as a complex carbohydrate source from oats for sustained energy release. This has a less dramatic effect on insulin levels for an optimum fat burning environment and a sustained release of nutrients will create a more anabolic environment. The product also has added digezyme enzymes for a healthy gut and effective digestion. Other alternatives include USN Muscle Fuel Dynamic or a meal replacement such as Reflex Progen or CNP Pro-MR.
Chemical Nutrition Pro-Vital – to be taken with breakfast and in the evening. Pro-vital is the most comprehensive vitamin, mineral and anti oxidant formula for enhanced immune function and general well being whilst under the stresses and strains of a diet. It is split into an am/pm format so that any vitamins and minerals that compete for absorption are taken at separate times in the day. It also contains patented zma to create a stable hormonal environment resulting in much improved sleep patterns and recovery as a result. Other alternatives include Reflex Nexgen, USN Multiplex and Universal Animal Paks.
Nutrabolics Liquid Hydrotest Complex – to be used pre workout and through the day. The amount of free testosterone in the body, determines the rate at which your body can synthesise protein. Muscle is metabolised protein therefore if you increase the amount of testosterone your body has available for muscle growth the more protein you can sysnthesise at anyone time (so increased muscle growth). So a product such as this will compliment a high protein diet such as above. This is the very same way in which steroids work however, steroids artificially introduce testosterone into the body and can result in unwanted side effects. A testosterone booster like Hydrotest increases the body’s natural production of testosterone and so has no unwanted side effects. Increased anabolism will also increase fat loss potential. Other options include Nutrabolics Hydrotest Liquid Gels, SAN Endotest, CNP Pro-Male, SAN Tribuvar and Reflex Bulgarian Tribulus.
Reflex Micellar Casein – to be taken before bed. Casein is the most anti catabolic protein known today. Casein forms a gel in the gut creating a drip effect of aminos into the bloodstream lasting for upto 8 hours. This makes it an ideal protein for before bed feeding the body during sleep offering a number of benefits. During sleep the body releases its natural growth hormones for recovery and growth. Casein supplies a protein source with which these hormones can fuel muscle growth. Lasting so long in the bloodstream casein will keep nitrogen in the muscles preventing catabolism during sleep increasing fat loss potential as GH is also a fat liberating hormone. Other options include Nutrabolics Isobolic, CNP Pro-peptide and Reflex Quattro.
Reflex Growth Matrix – specific to immediate post workout. Firstly glycogen will be replenished causing an insulin spike do to increased blood sugar levels from glucose polymers. Insulin being a storing hormone will drive creatine monohydrate into the muscles volumising each muscle cell. As a result it will be able to comprehensively supply the broken muscle fibers with hydrolised whey protein and L-Leucine. Hydrolised whey has the most comprehensive amino acid profile found in a whey protein and is also the most bio-available source of whey protein available. L-Leucine a specific essential amino acid believed to be the most effective in muscle tissue repair. An appropriate alternative is CNP Pro-Recover.
Atm only supplements i take is animal stak 2 and a whey protein,Any thoughts would be great..

Hi Tank,
Yes I do the diet plans.
As for your supps it all boils down to money. The 2 most nasic supplements I would use would be a good whey isolate protein powder and a good multivitamin and mineral supplement.
Next inline would be Creatine Ethyl Ester and a Nitric Oxide booster, and a good natural testosterone booster.
I would also supplement my diet with some good fats from udo's oil, and some fish oil capsules. I would use glucoasime for my joints.
Combine these supplements with hard training and a well structured nutritional plan and the sky is your limit my friend.
