Hi im new to the forum and i have been working out for 5 months now. I am 15 years old, 5ft 11 and weigh 172lbs. I want to know how much long and how long I should train for cos at them moment im doin 5 times a week at 1 hour 30 mins a sessions. That includes weights and cardio. Another thing I want ask is how much cardio should I do and whether it will affect the muscle gain. Is it better to do cardio before or after weights? Also Im thinking about adding protein shakes to my diet yet I want a better idea of which ones are the best and what types of proteins are good.  At the present moment my strength has increased from what it was 5 months ago. I would like to also know whether eating raw eggs would be okay? i have read on many sites that their dangerous cos the salmonella issues and so on.

I want to know also know how many reps and sets I should do of each exercise and what weight I should do it at (eg: Minimum, Medium Maximum)

Hi mate ,there Is a good beginners routine somewhere on here ::)

I`d split my weights and cardio up If I were you..I do mon/wed/fri weights for 1 hour each session :) Then the days In between I do cardio.

If you are doing weights and cardio the same day then do your cardio last.

If you want to get bigger then I`d deffo add protein to your diet ..With either shakes or high protein foods.

There are many brands out there ::)I use usn st2 pure protein..It`s cheap at £20 and It tastes gr8.

If I eat raw eggs I only eat the whites ;)I`m no expert but I think the yolk contains some fat and It Is the yolk which you can get salmonella from :-/

I vary my routine from using light weights and high reps one week then the next week I`ll go as heavy as I can for six reps...each to their own...

Hope some of this helps mate... cheers jase.

get some natural bodybuilding books. stuart mcroberts books are great for learning and building a natural frame. after reading his books ( bwawn ) etc i changed my training to his programmes and gained more in 6 months than i did in the first 2 years. much better than any advise you will find in magizines  thats a totaly different method of trianing for natural gains. just concentrate on the trunk. bench press, squats and deadlifts and you should thicken up. monday, weds ,and friday rest weekend.
