Basically I joined a gym for the first time a few days ago.

Having some guidance from one of the staff and he was saying i have to increase protein in my diet.

Im 20 and at 150lb and 6"1...he said 300grams of protein a day.

Ok  sounds good, he recommended i invest in USN Protein supplement.

What should the split between natural and supplement protein be? 150/150 or say 200/100 [protein supplement being the latter]

Also for someone fresh starting out looking to build up some muscle and weight what is the best product to go for! So many of them!

Also when is the best time to have the protein shake? Before workout, After workout. Also if I'm doing a cardio session do i need to do protein for that or will it be ineffective and a waste?

Thanks for all your help

Olla dude. Welcome to ze forums!

No.1 rule is that diet is the key to bodybuilding.
You wana try eating every 2hrs 30mins.. that being a good source of protein. Try as much as possible to be eating real foods compared to shakes.

Your shakes are used are a supplement to your diet.Saying that use one 30mins to an hour for the gym (protein shake) and one 20mins after.

Depending on your money situation you could invest in protein drink, and a carb drink for post workout.

say 7:00 Protein shake
        7:30 workout
8:30 Carb + protein drink.. pro recovery is what i use.. tho this site has most of the best supps avb
then get home and cook ur tea! good carb/protein/veg meal..

any more questions feel free to ask on here. some godly pro's here
