Hi Guys,
I shrug 170kg for four sets and also do squats of around 120kg in the same workout. Over the past couple of weeks I have been getting a numbness in my right hand that effects my pinky and ring fingers. This occurs early in the morning and last for about a minute or so. It can happen during the night on occasion but never during the day.
Is shrugging causing this condition? Should I stop shrugging and squats in the same workout? Should I stop both until the condiiton improves if in fact it will? I train three nights a week.

If anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a result of a trapped nerve - you should get a regular sports massage to relax your muscles and frre up any nerves.

Should I stop shrugging and squatting in the meantime then?
