So if any one fances a little friendly competion to loose weight lets see some faces
If this goes ahead we will have start photo's and then after photo's. And winner is a vote.

Well I need to get rid of some fat round the belly... Its been hanging there for a while now :-(
I'm currently bulking up and had planned to keep bulking unitl end of year (another 8/9 weeks)
For the New Year I wanted to start stripping the fat way, whilst keeping the hard earned muscle.
PJ suggested doing my cardio workouts after my weights, so the glycogen was burned up during the weights & the cardio then would be a fat burning exercise.
Need to assess my carbs too as Im not the best with regards to diet.
Im up for a bit of motivation in this exercise but the cutting for me would start Jan 1st, (if im not hungover ;-)

Ok sounds, I'll get a weigh in at the gym this week, which should give my current - weight / fat % / muscle mass.

Probably the best idea to start after christmas because with the shorter days it's hard for me to get out on the bike after school.
If anything i'll put wait on untill christmas

jan 1st take and post pics but you have to be holding a copy of the daily mail newspaper. to prove the date.
otherwise you could take pics now and post them jan 1st with 2 months head start.

Have a need to shed some SERIOUS lard, and this healthy competition should help with the motivation.

i've heard somewhere that if you find a skinny kid they will have a 6 pack without doing any training except there day to day sport, i dont know how true it is but i was wondering if it's likely to be similar with me (15 year old) if i lose enough weight
Btw i'm 15 6' 2 and weight 13.5 stone what will my ideal weight be before i start weight training in a few years

tank doode, you been reading to many american motervation books? or just watched dvd of inderpendance day? ;D
either way the idea is a good one. for us lone trainers who lack competition. i'm uber competetive but in no way commited enough to go down the competeing agianst other proper bodybuilders. the thought of competeing aginanst other forum members would help me keep out the chippy ;D

I don't think this will be very fair though tbh, i only wanna lose 2 stone, some people may wanna lose 4 stone.
If i reach my target 11.5 stone then i will have no need to carry on and my chances of winning are slim
Posted by: Kez, November 2, 2007, 7:30pm; Reply: 26
at the end of the day its not really about winning, we all want to lose weight so doing something like this and encouraging each other along the way is a great idea, if we all reach our goals then we are all winners :)
Posted by: Dean4england, November 2, 2007, 8:18pm; Reply: 27
well said. you cant have a 'who can lose the most weight' comp or we would have to call it 'slimmers world' or 'weight watchers'.
i think the affect tank was after waz to get as many people involved as poss to set a target and post some pics so they would have other members keeping an eye on them and giving them moral surport along the way.
some guys find it easy to lose there way along the long road to fat loss. its so easy to get side tracked and forget where you have come from what your end goal is. by posting a start point and knowing other bb.co.uk fourm members will be keeping an eye out to see how your getting on it gives you another reason to stick with it. not to lose face so to speak.
Posted by: Tankuk, November 2, 2007, 10:07pm; Reply: 28
Saying loose weight isnt meaning im going for weight watchers.. What ill be doing is loosing weight but aiming to put muscle on..So muscle weighs more then fat. So my weight will drop then balance out to where the muscle kicks in.
So bascily its before/after shots of whose made the best change. there will be a poll at the end for all members of this site to vote on.. yeh some may loose fat faster then others but feck it.If you wana big change, enter! :0
And yes i do get a little amercian some times..its the bit of welsh in me. Defient till the end we are! :)
