Normal whey protein will do just fine..if you want to buy a differnt protein just for pre bed..then its casein powder you need. thats the slow digesting stuff

I can understand you getting bored of cottage cheese - but eggs are pretty versatile. Make a nice omleette with tomatoes and onions n turkey ham or somethin.......

Eggs, steak etc are fine if you can prepare a meal. Eggs are usually easy to prepare/cook.

I would look at a protein blend pre bed ifyou choose to have a protein shake. Whey in water will be reasonably quickly uptaken.

I used CNP pro-peptide before bed as it is a casein based, and therefore is a slower release over the night.

protein is an excellent night time food.

it's really the only thing that should be consumed in quantity at night time when the level of activity is low. low fat cottage cheese and low carb blended protein shakes are optimum for night time use. they are anti-catabolic so they can actually help to preserve muscle mass while losing body fat.

carbs are not only more likely to be converted to lipids when consumed late at night but they also cause insulin levels to increase drastically. this causes a decrease in growth hormone secretion during the end of the 1st sleep cycle. gh is the most powerful fat burning substance that the body produces and the most anti-catabolic substance as well.
