Hi there
decided to clean up my eating and bulk up but have always struggled to gain weight. I'm 14stone and having six meals a day (this includes protein drinks) and have been doing this for a month now and only put on a pound, I do no more than twenty minutes cardio per session. The trouble is I'm going to the toilet four or five times aday so thinking this could be reason i'm not putting the weight on, is this normal? sorry its not the nicest subject.

kenny... im 12 half stone and eating 5 meals and 3 shakes a day so thats a total of 8 meals a day if u count the shakes....im gaining weight steadily so if at my weight im gaining weight on that...your gonna need more than what your eating right now id say...also if your more worried about putting on some mass than getting fit cut out the cardio to once a week....im sure some others may give you more advice but thats working very well for me right now

cut down on your training and cardio and i recon you will grow, i know you love training and could train all day but if its affecting your goals i would re evaluate it

cheers guys. After trawling through some past posts I can see I'm lacking carbs so with my chicken breasts I'm going to include rice and veg. I think I've got obsessed with the whole protein thing and lost the plot with carbs as dont want to put fat on but I suppose a little is inevitable. Training seems easy to work out and change about but the diet thing is hard work and just as important.
cheers for your help and I'll let you know if I can turn it round.
