I was in the local BMW dealers and as I waited had to read the Daily Express (That's my excuse) :) anyway there was an article about a guy being rushed from a gym into intensive care as he had collapsed and was on the edge of death. It appeared that he had drunk 4 to 5 litres of water during his WO and this had washed away the minerals and salts needed by his body. The doctors said he was "in serious sodium deficiency and if he had not been as fit, he would have had a fatal heart attack"!
Makes you think, dunnit? 8) Everything in moderation.

Another dubious story from the tabloids! ::)
I'd be very surprised if their wasn't a bit more involved than just drinking 4-5 ltrs water whilst training!
I can go through 2-3 ltrs and I've never collapsed "in serious sodium deficiency...
...maybe diuretics involved????
