eggs, is it true that the yolk contains half the protien and the white contains half the protien? or is it that the white contains the protien and the yolk contains the fat? also i have high colestrol, father has had by pass also uncle has high colestrol so think runs through family, so would u recommend i stay away from the yolk cuz i was told it is high in colestrol?

You'll find every one has a myth idea of this. But the vast majority of the public inc the well paid scientists will agree there isnt enough colestrol in eggs to cause you any worry.
The white is the protein mate.

so i should start having the whole egg not just the white and throw away the yolk?

Well the yellow (yolk) contains some of the unwanted fats so if your going to have eggs every day like i do then just have 1 or 2 yolks added in for taste. But was to your question you wont need to worry about colestrol mate

I have 16 eggs a day (14 whites and 2 yolks) been doing this for 20 years with no problems and my cholesterol is low

In terms of protein there is a simular amount contained both in the white and the yolk. The white is fat free, and the yolk contains fats and cholesterol. Unless you have health issues with your cholesterol a couple of egg yolks a day should be fine.

it has good and bad fats, they are a great meal and i generally have about 7 or 8 yolks a day as part of my fat allowance

cheers m8s, would the same apply 2 BSN sytha 6, cuz iv realised tht it contains colestrol which worries me cuz i have 3 a day (shakes), wated 2 ask should i keep taking it or completely stop using it stop?
goal is 2 lose 2 stones and mantain muscle.

the average egg has 8g of protein, 3g of that is in the white and the rst in the yolk, eat whole eggs

its up to you matey the yok has high levels of cholesterol and its a very harmful element ! anyways...
