Hi all.

I've been training for about 2 years now, nothing too intense, but i always wanted to bulk up my upper body. I bench press and use free weights. I do not use any supplements or chemicals, though looking into it. It's sounds crazy, but I'm finding it hard to judge if i'm in proportion or not.

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn278/dlsept/1213751572_4aba8ce8316d316922209067.jpg

I'm afraid its gonna take a bit longer than 5 months to see great results! But hard training and a good clean diet will show a benefit.
What sort of cardio are you running/ Also good to see you are taking rest days. When I first started I did WOs every day! Daft wasn't it! Now I'm down to alternate days.

Hello All, I thought I would start a new thread to show my progress after having my hernia operation! I have a previous thread on the forum but it was getting a bit jumbled so I thought it would be best to start a fresh! I have had to make myself a new member as I could not remember any of my details....

Last time I wrote, I stated that I had just got a hernia! Luckily I got seen to pretty fast and I am all sorted out now! Doctor said it’s stronger than ever now! I had a small operation about 12 weeks ago so I am now rearing to go and ready to gain a little more muscle and get back into some kind of shape……..

I have actually been back at the gym for the past three weeks and I will post some photos of what I looked like before I got back into the gym. I had around 5 months of proper training; I did train but only very lightly. During the time off I gained a fair bit of fat and the heaviest I got to was nearly 115KG!

Below are a few photos of what I looked like after the operation and I am sure you can see that I am a little out of shape!

I’d Just like to add the doctors were great and not once criticized my training and even said that it was not necessarily the gyms fault for the hernia. The doctor did say that it was probably a weakness in my stomach which I have had since I was born and the physical life style I lead just made it worse. However I am sure it was my heavy squats and dead lifts which set the hernia off, going to be a little bit more careful from now on!!!

Above is the day I got back from the hospital! Not happy at all as I could not move....

Above This is what it looked like about 4 days after the operation, when the bandage fell off....

Jack Sowden, will add some more photos soon.......
